Do not underestimate the plain ol' white button mushroom!
You may be tempted to take a walk on the wilder side with more interesting species, but don't be too quick to dismiss it...
He's really a funguy to experiment with!
Easy to cook, holds its flavour, and actually much more forgiving in a recipe than some other wild mushrooms. They can be added to pretty much any recipe, let alone our traditional English big brekkie.
Try:
- in soups, stews, and stir frys
- chopping and serving as a tasty, garlic tapas dish
- as a flavourful topping on pizza, steak, chicken, fish...
- marinating into a delicious sauce
- skewering on the grill
So, button up and get cracking!
