Swede
Swede-child o' mine!
Or as the Scots call it, rutabaga or 'neeps'.
So many names, so little PR coverage.
It may not have the glow of the cherry tomato, the elegant grace of the asparagus spear, or the allure of the pak choi, but what it does have is long-standing British stoicism like its dear friend, the turnip. Dismissed time and time again for something sweeter, juicier and more pretty.
One day, it will the be the English swede-heart.
Watch this veg space.
We're rooting for you.
